Follow Me
Now Jesus was walking on the shore of Galilee He saw some men fishing, he said, “Hey follow me And I will teach each one of you how to fish for men” And from that day on forward they were people fishermen When Jesus calls out for us to come along It’s time to drop our nets and start singing this song I will follow you Jesus, where you want me to go And I will listen and learn all that you want me to know There’s nowhere in this world that I would rather be Than to follow you Jesus, when you say, “Follow me.” Now Jesus was teaching in the towns of Galilee But people wouldn’t listen, they just couldn’t believe He knew what they needed, to come to him for rest If they took the yoke of Jesus, their life would be so blessed When Jesus calls out for us to come to him It’s time to drop our burdens and start singing this hymn I will follow you Jesus when you want me to stop I will give you all my sins to bear before I finally drop There’s nowhere in this world that I would rather be Then to sit at your feet, Lord, when you say “Come to me.” Now Jesus was telling his friends in Galilee That he would have to suffer and die to set them free And if they would follow him, they’d have to decide To trust him with their whole life, even if they died When Jesus calls out for us to follow him It’s time to give our lives up and start to sing again I will follow you Jesus and count up all the cost Cause if I live for myself, I’ll find my self is lost There’s nowhere in this world that I would rather be Then to take up my cross, Lord, when you say “Follow me.”
